Ethan Olim
Ethan is an Analyst at the CC Lab.
Ethan is passionate about the insights quantitative tools and economic methods can bring to the worlds of climate and energy. At the Lab, he focuses on sustainable cooling and the social costs of greenhouse gases, building first-of-a-kind models and working to solve uncertainties affecting decision makers. Prior to joining the Lab, he conducted research on electrification incentive programs, financial participation in deregulated energy markets, and methane storms on Titan. He has also worked on market strategy at Voltus and advised climate tech startups at the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. With a wide-ranging skill set, he brings technical rigor to interdisciplinary challenges in the energy and environmental worlds.
Ethan graduated from Yale College in 2025 with a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics and a certificate in Energy Studies. While a student, he captained the Yale Climbing Team, led orientation backpacking trips, and worked as a peer educator. In his free time, Ethan spends as much time as possible climbing, hiking, and cycling.
