Madeline Weller

Madeline is an intern with the CC Lab.

Madeline is an undergraduate at Georgia Tech studying Environmental Science with a minor in Energy Systems. She is passionate about renewable energy’s role in emissions reduction and environmental justice, with a focus on implementing climate solutions that are beneficial for environmental health and address issues in energy supply and accessibility.

Her work with the CC Lab is centered on the Methane to Methanol project, investigating how high-intensity methane sources can be utilized to provide low-carbon fuel for maritime shipping. She has previously worked on research projects at Georgia Tech exploring rare earth element transformations for critical energy mineral recovery, tracking methane emission point sources in Atlanta, and conducting a greenhouse gas inventory of the Georgia Tech campus with the Office of Sustainability. She is currently working with Let's Share the Sun to advance energy resilience in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, by supporting solar and battery storage installations for medically vulnerable residents and contributing to project management, delegation coordination, and operational support.

Outside of her academics and professional interests, Madeline enjoys running, hiking, reading, playing the piano, and photography."
