Alika Ting

Alika is an intern with the CC Lab.

Alika is a recent graduate of Yale University with a B.S. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and a Certificate in Food, Agriculture, & Climate Change. Her research experience spans microbial ecology and forest carbon and nutrient cycling. Alongside fighting climate change, she is passionate about sustainability across agricultural and food systems. At the CC Lab, Alika works in the Biologic Program conducting research on biomass carbon removal and storage (BiCRS) pathways in the United States, with a focus on approaches to slow carbon emissions from woody biomass decay of forest thinnings.

In her free time, Alika enjoys cooking and baking, spending time outdoors, making ceramics, and surfing (when there are waves nearby).
