Öznur Öztürk
Öznur is an Associate at the CC Lab.
Öznur is a climate policy professional passionate about advancing solutions at the intersection of science, policy, and finance. She received her Master of Public Policy at Yale University as a Fulbright Scholar, where her work focused on environmental governance, climate finance, renewable energy, and social entrepreneurship.
Prior to Yale, Öznur worked on humanitarian emergency response at UNICEF where she supported vulnerable populations during crises. During her role at the New Zealand Embassy in Turkey, she focused on the advancement of sustainability in trade and diplomacy. Earlier, she interned with the Turkish Parliament, contributing to energy and trade policy committees, and conducted research on various topics including renewable energy and development aid.
At Yale, Öznur has amplified her impact through roles bridging theory and action. As a Kerry Fellow, she conducted climate policy research under former Secretary John Kerry, and as a Bekenstein Climate Leader, she advocated for federal climate finance in Washington, DC, as an intern for Climate Action Campaign. She strengthened sustainable business models as a student consultant for an entrepreneurship organization in India. In her last semester, she supported the NRDC Forests Team in analyzing wildfire mitigation and wood waste utilization strategies in California.
