Amelia Murphy

Amelia is a Summer Associate with the Lab, focusing on mitigation of short-lived climate pollutants. Previously, Amelia worked as the Deputy Director of the India Program at the Institute for Governance & Sustainable Development, where she worked to develop conducive policy and business models to mitigate climate and air pollutants at the subnational level in India. She also co-founded FACE Intergenerational Justice, a youth-created and youth-led North-South initiative focusing on the intersection of climate and environmental justice as it relates to “fast action” climate mitigation strategies to preserve the planet for future generations, and sits on the board of directors at the Center for Human Rights & the Environment.

 Amelia holds a B.A.Sc. in Science, Sustainability, and Society from McGill University and is a current JD candidate and Master’s in Climate and Environmental Policy student at Vermont Law & Graduate School.
